I've worked there for quite awhile and don't know what your talking about. We've never served oil with breadsticks. Your thinking Carabbas or somewhere else. From personal experience though, mix the olive oil with garlic pepper, oregeno, and basil. You may try the grocery store too, in the spice isle I belive you'll find spices mixed just to mix in oil for dipping. The one I but has 4 flavors per shaker. Use pure extra virgin olive oil for the best flavor. What is added to the olive oil at olive garden?
You can add whatever you want but usually restaraunts add parmesan cheese, garlic, basil, black pepper, %26amp; a little crushed red pepper flakes. Report Abuse

If you love Italian food you should stop eating at Olive Garden and Carraba's. Go to a real restaurant. Report Abuse

Macaroni Girll has the best!!! Report Abuse

My husband cuts up fresh garlic and adds to it onion powder, basil, cracked pepper, and easy seasoning you want. He roast the garlic with its ingredients in some olive oil in a pan. Once it is nice and brown you place the finished product on a plate with some more olive oil. NOW THE BEST PART, add balsamic vinegar!!! WHOLA (sp?) Dip your warm bread in it and it is absolutely WONDERFUL!! Hope that helps.
I haven't been in an olive garden in a while, but in a lot of real Italian restaurants, they add balsamic vinegar to extra virgin olive oil and it's used as a dip for the bread.

Like the answer above, you could add any of those herbs and spices, but the best way to find out is to call them! good luck.
its a mix of herbs and spices, including rosemary, thyme, oregano, parsley, crushed red chili pepers, salt, and ground pepper assorted peppercorns
I use a bottle of spices called ';Tip N' Grind Alessi Dipping Spices'; It's really great to add to olive oil. Tastes like it's right out of a restaurant. Just picked it up at my local grocery store.
Try salt and pepper.
