Olive oil?

is olive oil fattening? why does everyone say no?

there is 120 calories in just one teaspoon!Olive oil?
it is very healthful for you, but like any other oil should be taken sparringly, calories are very important, so you cant eat more that what you put out, even if its all very healthful stuff,

so, yes it is, but you need some fat, and its a very healthy way to get itOlive oil?
Yes, olive oil does have plenty of calories, and eaten in larger amounts, it can cause you to gain weight. However, your body needs a certain amount of fat daily, and those should really be ';healthy'; fats, like olive, sunflower, safflower, canola, or flax seed oils. You don't want more than a few teaspoons of those a day, but they're much healthier for you than other types of oils, like hydrogenated oils or that sort of thing.
Erm... if calories in is greater than calories out, you gain body energy. If your glycogen is done, you will store fat. Doesn't matter if it's protein, carbs, or fat itself.

Now, some of this fat may be more useful (various unsaturated fats), but it's still fat. Maybe it'll be converted to something else that the body uses and thus won't be fat.
120 calories in a TABLESPOON, which is THREE teaspoons.

Olive oil is a healthy fat. There have been no scientific studies to suggest that ';fat'; makes you fat or contributes to health problems. Read an Atkins book...
well its considered a good fat like a healthy fat and believe it or not you do need some fats just have it in moderation it doesnt meen use a cup
All oils have lots of fat and calories. But olive oil is all natural and it has more good fats (monounsaturated, etc).
