I got some olive oil on my expensive brown leather purse. I tried some light soap and water and it didn't make a dent in it, anyone have any ideas? How do I clean olive oil stains from a leather purse?
You can't.
Best thing is to lightly oil the whole purse.
Leather is absorbent, and needs oil anyway. Applying water and soap can often make it spread out further.
Depending on how bad and big the spot is, you might try wetting the area, and then applying a dry washcloth to it and place a weight to keep there...hoping that the water absorbed by the cloth will carry some of the oil with it.How do I clean olive oil stains from a leather purse?
There is a grease cutting product in Walmart. You would use that first, then use your soap and water.
wash it or buy another one duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

drycleaners
Lay the bag out flat, sperinkle cornstarch on the stain, and let it sit overnight. It might absorb some of the oil. Another method is to place a clean white piece of tissue paper on the stainand run a WARM (lowest setting for cotton) iron over it. Replace the tissue several times until no more traces of the stain remain. Leather is porous so not all of the stain will be removed.
