I am making brownies and I am out of vegetable oil, so instead can I use olive oil? Or will this mess up the recipe? Can you cook brownies using olive oil?
yes i would recommend the light olive oil though. Extra virgin will give you to strong an olive taste. No good with brownies. Can you cook brownies using olive oil?
yes olive oil is fine, good luck.
Yes...Italians use olive oil in all sorts of desserts.
Yes, you can but the brownies will taste real nasty. You need to use vegetable oil, preferably Crisco oil.
Assuming you have light or regular olive oil, you shouldn't notice a difference at all! If you want to make brownies not from a mix, which is even better, you won't need any oil. My favorites:
1/2 cup butter (one stick)
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
Melt these together in a double boiler or microwave at 50% power. Let it cool for about 20 or so minutes.
4 eggs at room temperature
1/4 teaspoon salt
Beat these together until they are nice and light and foamy.
Slowly add in 2 cups of sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla until the mixture is really creamy. Stir in the chocolate and butter (by hand) until almost combined. Fold in 1 cup of sifted flour by hand as well. Add 1 cup of nuts if you want. Bake in a greased 9x13 pan for 25 minutes or so at 350. Yummy!
it will work but keep your eye on them because olive oil burns faster than vegetable oil. the taste should be little to no difference
i'm sure u can but it may taste different than what you're used to---I would try it with a cheap mix first...then if u don't like it you won't be out much...
Yes you can use the olive oil and it will not mess up your recipe.
i make all sorts of desserts and i think butter or pam will work better because of the taste but its up to you. or applesauce will work well and its healthy to, i'm not kidding
